Hi Michael,

There are pros and cons for creating your own products as well as affiliate marketing and there are people who are making fortunes in both areas. The key is to find what you really want to do and pursue that.

Your question implies though that you're interested in which one make the most money. The problem is that you should not start with that motivation. It seems counter-intuitive but you should not start with the idea of picking an Internet model based solely on how much money you can make.

The truth is you need to find something that you are passionate about. Find that thing that draws your attention, that you can easily discuss with other people who have the same interest and the rest of the Internet marketing puzzle is simple to solve.

Look at Gary Vaynerchuk as an example. Study him. This guy does videos about wine and his website pulls down a few million a year. Why? Because he is very passionate about wine (1) ... but that's only part of the story. He also has a way of taking complex subjects and simplifying them so anyone can understand what he's talking about (3) and he is entertaining (4).

When you combine those four elements it doesn't matter how or what area you start your online business in, you will be successful.

Hope that helps,

-Dave

Hello Dave, thank 4 the marketing club. But where does a complete newbie start from? Creating his own product or promoting affiliate prodocts? And which training material is best suitable to buy and how much will it cost to start? Thanks. Michael from Nigeria.

I am in group 3. I know what I want, but, am incapable of setting up the initial project. Once set up I can follow through. I am part of a group that can not follow instructions from a lengthy manual or videos. Get me started and I can then follow through with as much desire and hard work as necessary. However, all 'gurus' assume I (we) can truly understand and follow their written instructions. I am unfortunately not one of them. If there was truly an interested teacher who can set me up and follow through with me. I do by repetitiveness, which can only be done after it is setup and ongoing. Maybe their should be a group 5 for us. This sounds like an untapped market to me. However, I'm sure this market will never exist because these 'gurus' will usually make more money dedicating their time and efforts to their own projects which gives them more residual income. I realize it is ALL about the money! I have written to many 'gurus' and believe or not, one even admitted as much. So, in my opinion, this sounds like an opportunity for a real 'guru' who feels inclined to 'give back.' "Catch a fish for me and I will eat tonight, Show me how to fish for myself and I can eat forever." Harvey, U*****@aol.com

How very true this is for my way of interpretation:

Organisations find the need to employ some one - then adds it to two, three & more.

The same organisation forgets to keep the interest & the desire of the people they did employ.

Now who is this organisation - is my question.

It's just one or two lame suckers who had lost interest & desire & lacks big time of self
branding & giving.
